patron purchase program

The Patron Purchase Program is a unique process used to encourage financial commitments prior to the Festival. Art buyers and collectors make monetary pledges regarding their level of spending. These special patrons receive "Bridge Bucks" (in the form of tokens), which are used to purchase art. Artists then redeem their "Bridge Bucks" at the close of the Festival

In the five years since it began, the 4 Bridges Patron Program has become a hallmark of the best that Chattanooga is and can become. The vision and generosity of our Patrons has shaped the Festival into an opportunity for community members of all ages to encounter ideas and images that inspire, increase understanding and open our city to the arts.

By demonstrating that Chattanoogans support the arts in very tangible ways, you have spread the word to practicing artists across America that 4 Bridges is a nationally recognized event. As a result, more than seven hundred artists applied to participate in this year’s Festival. Approximately one hundred and fifty artists of the best and brightest were selected to exhibit their painting, glasswork, jewelry, textiles, sculpture and more. Art of every shape, size and style awaits you: traditional alongside unconventional, familiar alongside enigmatic.

In addition to helping shape our city, your participation in the Patron Program offers personal benefits. The annual pre-Festival social has become a highly anticipated event of the Spring Season. The Patron Preview Party enables you to view and purchase pieces before they are shown at the Festival, socialize with the artists, and spend an enchanting evening with other Patrons.
